Out of the many Attractions/Things to Do in Los Angeles , the Hollywood sign is one of the most well-known sites in America. This poses the question: How close can one get to the famous sign?

The sign was first constructed in 1923 and originally said "Hollywoodland". It has since been torn down and rebuilt and it now just says "Hollywood". Sitting on the top of the hill in Los Angeles, it is on Mt Lee. Unfortunately, it is illegal to put any hands on the sign but standing close is still permitted for you to get the opportunity to shoot your best selfie.

Manhattan Beach Pier: Interesting Things to Know

The Manhattan Beach Pier is an excellent attraction for people to visit when they are in Manhattan Beach, California. The pier is just over 900 feet long and is situated at the end of Manhattan Beach Boulevard.

At the end of the pier, the Roundhouse Marine Studies Lab and Aquarium is situated. This area is open to the public and includes a number of fantastic sea life to view. For example, you will find sharks, lobsters and many other brightly colored sea animals when you visit this aquarium.

Along with the aquarium, the views are a fantastic reason to visit the pier as well. This is one reason that the pier is so popular among artists and photographers. It is on this pier that you can capture some of the most beautiful images of the Pacific Ocean. You can also catch a glimpse of the surfers that frequent the area beyond the pier.
