We know you could spend weeks in the South Bay and still not see everything our neighborhood has to offer. The Sea View Inn is centrally located to great cities to the North, East, and South, and staying at the Sea View Inn means you have easy proximity to iconic towns to like Marina Del Rey, Santa Monica, Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach, Beverly Hills, Culver City, Malibu, and Downtown LA. The closest of the bunch to the North is The Marina.
Marina Del Rey also referred to as “The Marina” and can be accessed by a pleasant 30 min bike ride along the coast (check out a bike from our front desk) or less than 15 minutes away by car. The Marina offers great oceanfront dining, wonderful bike paths, stand-up paddleboarding tours to see the local Sea Lions, and wonderful boat and fishing tours. Next time you stay with us be sure to spend some time at one of LA’s most beautiful hidden gems. For more details visit @marinadelrey_CA or www.visitmarinadelrey.com
Manhattan Beach and much of the South Bay caters to families and kids. The city offers parks, museums, aquariums, and hikes. It wasn’t easy for us to pick our favorites but here are our 3 favorites.
Roundhouse Aquarium – Located at the end of the Manhattan Beach Pier. It's free to visit but donations are highly encouraged. Your kids will love the sea creatures in the tank!
Sand Dune Park – Get your workout on! It’s a 100-ft sand dune hill and a play area with swings and picnic tables. Kids will love climbing.
The Beach – Yes, we know, this was a predictable one but the beaches in Manhattan and Hermosa are terrific. We’ve got waves, volleyball courts, and eateries right in the sand.

For most of us, life has been and continues to be pretty stressful. While we may want a change of scenery, it needs to be something easy to manage. In comes a staycation! If done properly a staycation will offer you the new scenery you crave, a chance to recharge, and the opportunity to explore a nearby town or community.

Los Angeles has always been the city of dreams and entertainment. The rich history and diverse background of its people create a place that welcomes everyone. From gastro bars to theme parks and beaches, this city is filled with magic and fun in every corner.
When you first enter the Museum of Jurassic Technology, it seems cloaked in mystery. The facade of the building doesn't offer much of a hint as to what is contained within, and the unassuming vestibule doesn't answer your questions, either. It quickly becomes clear that, like many of the weird little quirks of this lesser-known Los Angeles gem, that air of mystery is a deliberate choice meant to prepare your mind for the oddities, curiosities, and quirky little stories to come.
