Are you as thankful for the beach as we are? Consider spending a long weekend in Manhattan Beach for the Thanksgiving holiday. Start a new tradition and spend the holiday on the coast with your family. Nicknamed the "Pearl of the South Bay," Manhattan Beach is a perfect spot for a friendsgiving adventure or a family trip! There are a variety of options for families, friends, or couples visiting the area and looking for seasonal things to do. Whether you decide to bring a large group or turn your trip into a couple's getaway, it is easy to make Manhattan Beach feel like home during your stay. Pick and choose from this list, or ask the Sea View Inn team for their personal suggestions!
Gather to watch the parade
Although the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade may start early in the morning, it is a fabulous Thanksgiving tradition for families with young children. Each Sea View Inn room has a TV, so you could easily gather your family and watch bits and pieces of the parade! You could easily pick up some yummy breakfast foods to have on hand in the room, which would be fun to enjoy while you watch.
Hop on a bike!
The Sea View Inn provides complimentary bikes to guests, meaning that you and your crew could easily access downtown Manhattan Beach for a Thanksgiving brunch or dinner. This list of potential dining options is a perfect starting point.
Explore the Pier
Following your Thanksgiving meal, the Manhattan Beach Pier is worth exploring for its view of the Santa Monica Bay. Grab some beach towels from the Inn and spend a few hours relaxing after you check out the pier! Although summer may be over, the charm of Manhattan Beach lasts throughout the entire year.
Feeling more ambitious?
The Aquarium of the Pacific, located in Long Beach (approximately 20 miles from the Sea View Inn), offers a Thanksgiving Lunch from 11 a.m.- 3 p.m. on Thursday, November 28th, 2019. This number, (562) 590-3100, ext. 0, can be used to RSVP! If you're hoping to visit the museum, but decide against the lunch, it is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
