With the poetic background of the Pacific Ocean and clear skies above, could there be a more perfect place to appreciate art than in the Beach Cities of the South Bay? Check out these upcoming events to participate and explore as you enjoy the sun and have some fun!

Upcoming Art Events in the Beach Cities

Live: Costumed Figure Drawing

Presented by the Manhattan Beach Art Center, come and flex your figure drawing skills with your family and friends. A live costumed model will be on hand for inspiration. The event is on the first Thursday of each month, starting in April, from 7:00 -10:00 pm and is open to all those 16 years of age and older. It is free (a $12 donation for the models is suggested) and there will be easels available for use, but remember to bring your own supplies.

Children Craft Time at the Library

On Thursday, April 11, bring the children to the Redondo Beach Library Craft activity from 3:30 - 4:30 pm for some artistic fun. Children can let their creativity and imagination run loose as they do a hands-on craft activity. There will also be blocks available for younger children to play with as their older siblings tend to their art. And the event is free!

Hermosa Beach Fine Arts Festival

On June 8 & 9 from 10am - 5pm, visits the Community Center Lawn at 710 Pier Ave in Hermosa Beach to enjoy a festival of art. With artwork available to view and purchase, this community event has lots to offer with over 100 booths, activities for children, food trucks and DJ Music. Check out their website for more information.   And for all those visiting the beach cities, check out lodging at the Sea View Inn, a modern intimate seaside hotel located right in Manhattan Beach!
