Summer is upon us and what better time to visit Manhattan Beach and The Seaview Inn than now. Crystal clear water, great restaurants and shops and a packed schedule of summer activities that are not only fun but FREE here in Manhattan Beach!

Concerts In The Park Presented By OneWest Bank

This popular annual event is held at Polliwog Park and begins Sundays, July 1st and runs through September 2nd. Admission is free. Concerts start around 4pm with opening bands before the main band takes the stage at 5pm. But it's best to be early to claim prime lawn seating as it is first come, first served. Lawn chairs and picnics are suggested to accompany the music and sounds of summer. 

58th Annual Sand Castle Design Contest 

Head to the south side of Manhattan Beach Pier to enter the 58th Annual Sand Castle Design Contest on Sunday, August 5th. Starting early morning, entrants have from 7:30 to 9:30 to build. There are two divisions, 12 and under & 13 and above, as well as the option to enter as an individual or team. The event is free but you must register the day of to participate. Prizes will be awarded so you should get to practicing! 

Shakespeare By The Sea

Check out a free Shakespeare performance in Polliwog Park, where you can bring beach chairs (low back preferred), blankets and picnic baskets to enjoy the live show under the stars. Friday, August 10th will be The Winter's Tale and Saturday, August 11th, will be The Merry Wives of Windsor. Showtime is 7pm but you might want to get there a little early to get some prime space to watch the show.
