People love to swim, play and enjoy the beach. Volleyball is one of the most popular sports played on the beach and is a common site to see there. In fact, the Association of Volleyball Players (AVP) holds almost all of their events on the beach. In particular, this summer the AVP will hold an event at Hermosa Beach on July 20th - July 23rd as well as one at Manhattan Beach on August 17th - August 20th. People from all over the area and country will attend.

The AVP holds 8 events annually in locations around the country. The events at Hermosa Beach and Manhattan Beach are widely thought to be the most beautiful and fun of all the events. They enjoy a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere for fans along with a competitive and dynamic environment for players. The winner of the competition earns cash and points towards the overall volleyball rankings.

At the same time, fans can take advantage of all the things Hermosa Beach has to offer. That includes a stroll on the pier or a taste of the farmer's market with fresh fruits and vegetables. A lot of fans also enroll in the world-famous VolleyCamp Hermosa which is considered one of the top volleyball schools. At night, fans can grab a drink at one of the many taverns, eat at a wide variety of restaurants or even go to The Comedy and Magic Club.  In any case, a fun time is had by all.
