A trip to California on a Manhattan Beach vacation is sure to be filled with tons of sun, sand, and beach time. However, planning what you'll be doing on your Manhattan Beach vacation is only part of the vacation preparation process.
You also need to plan out what you need to be packing so you can be prepared for any fun activity. Consider the following items to pack for your Manhattan Beach vacation so you'll be well-prepared for exploring the West Coast.
Southern California is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful places to vacation, especially for fans of the beach, the sun, and good food. Vacationers staying at a local Manhattan Beach hotel can easily make their way to the boardwalk to leisurely walk along The Strand or play with the kids in the water.
When Americans are at the beach, 60% say they prefer to relax and do nothing. However, because many vacations and trips to the beach often involve the kids, the odds of doing nothing are rare.
Whether it's making sandcastles or playing out in the waves, entertaining the kids on the beach during your trip to California will be much easier than you think. Here are a few ways to turn your average days at the beach into unforgettable Manhattan Beach vacations.
Manhattan Beach is a place of paradise for vacationers and locals alike. With a wide beachfront encompassing the city border, it's likely most of your weekend Manhattan Beach getaway time will be spent on the beach. Manhattan Beach's gorgeous pier and rolling sand dunes can give every family a wide range of activities to look forward to.
Though the name has a somewhat dubious 80s sci-fi ring to it, don't be alarmed. Be amazed! The Adventure Plex is one of the biggest and most incredible family-friendly destinations in Manhattan Beach. 16,000 square feet big, in fact, and every inch crammed with something the kids will love. (Not to mention the adults). What sets it apart from the zillions of other "family fun centers" in the country, though, is its dedication to healthy lifestyle choices. It's not a pizza-filled arcade, but a facility to learn, grow, and be active in.
Enjoy Memorial Day weekend in Manhattan Beach with all of the best that California has to offer. Join in with the celebration at Fiesta Hermosa, which takes place on Hermosa Beach. This event occurs May 27-May 29 from 10 am to 6 pm. Hermosa beach offers the best of the Pacific Ocean. This is an annual festival and it is an excellent opportunity to see the local culture and what the area is truly about.
Fiesta Hermosa has been going on since 1972. Hundreds of local artists and vendors gather to celebrate the holiday and entertain visitors with ceramics, photography, handicrafts, painting, jewelry, sculpture, and performance art. There is live music featured on two stages.

Charming, convenient, well kept, if basic hotel. Actually 4 different buildings straddling the intersection of two local streets. Most rooms have balcony with ocean and sunset view. Location is peerless, just up the hill from the marvelous beach, with wide white sands, volleyball nets, surfing, hiking and bike paths. North MB is quieter than central MB, mostly locals and upscale, trendy bungalows, only a few hotels, with a small but very nice baker’s dozen of restaurants and cafes, each unique and busy.
LAX in 10 minutes, easy access to all of LA (at the right time of day).
