Out of the many Attractions/Things to Do in Los Angeles , the Hollywood sign is one of the most well-known sites in America. This poses the question: How close can one get to the famous sign?

The sign was first constructed in 1923 and originally said "Hollywoodland". It has since been torn down and rebuilt and it now just says "Hollywood". Sitting on the top of the hill in Los Angeles, it is on Mt Lee. Unfortunately, it is illegal to put any hands on the sign but standing close is still permitted for you to get the opportunity to shoot your best selfie.

One of the oldest cemeteries in Los Angeles is also one of the most famous in the world - the Hollywood Forever Cemetery (formerly called the Hollywood Cemetery). Not only is it the final resting place of more Hollywood celebrities and influencers than any other place on earth, but it's the only cemetery actually in Hollywood and attracts visitors from around the globe.

The 100-acre cemetery was founded in 1899 and is now proudly on the US National Register of Historic Places. Paramount Studios actually built its lot on 40 acres of the south end of the cemetery, and you can see the still-active back lot there today.
