As we move from summer to fall, kids are back in school full swing and temperatures begin to drop (though in the Beach Cities, not by too much!) Sweaters replace tank-tops as the days get shorter and though there may be less sunshine hours, there's still plenty of activities to partake in during the fall in the Beach Cities.
Fall activities in the Beach Cities
Participate in the 28th Annual World Famous Pumpkin Race Festival in Manhattan Beach.
Festivities open at 11 am on October 28th on the Manhattan Beach pier. Gather family and friends to celebrate fall and Halloween as you witness creativity of all ages in this fun and competitive pumpkin race. Visit the Manhattan Beach website for additional information on this and other fall events.
Visit the Sea Lab for family friendly fish-based activities in Redondo Beach.
Perfect for all ages, the Sea Lab offers activities and education based on marine life and conservation. Both fun and educational, the lab offers public tours, feeding of animals and much more. Also, take note the first Tuesday of every month is free admission and on October 27th, a special Halloween Maze event will be happening.
Visit Hermosa Beach's Pacific Coast Gallery.
From September 29th through November 4th at 205 Pier Ave., see new works by prolific Beach Cities' photographer, SPOT, and more. Photos exhibited showcase Hermosa Beach and the South Bay as the iconic epicenter it is, where surfing, skating and punk music evolved. Learn history while absorbing local artwork detailing the beauty and history of the Beach Cities. Afterward, take a stroll along the pier or grab a bite along Pier Ave.
Whatever you choose to do this fall, make sure to catch a breathtaking sunset along the coast. And for all those traveling to the Beach Cities, contact The Sea View Inn for your oceanside accommodation needs.
