When traveling to a large city, such as Los Angeles, it can be hard to know where to go and what to do. Here is an inside scoop on all things you can do to fit in with the locals.
If you've never been to Los Angeles and you're looking online for all the amazing places to see, you will find all sorts of things, but what are the things you truly want to see?
Seeing the Hollywood Sign is always going to be a top thing to do. The great thing about the sign is that you can see it from all over the town. The 44' tall, white letters are hard to miss when you're looking around. After you get done looking up at the sign, you can head over to check out the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Filled with names and stars of your favorite celebrities, you can spend your time searching for the coolest celebrities. As you're walking along the stars, you can stop by all the stores to get the best souvenirs. You can even take a tour to see the houses of the biggest stars in LA, such as Leonardo DiCaprio and Sylvester Stallone. Once you're done looking for all the stars, you can head to Rodeo Drive in hopes of seeing a star shopping! When the sun starts to go down, a favorite thing to do is to head up to the Griffith Observatory. The Observatory is a beautiful building with a huge telescope to gaze up into the sky or to look upon the city for sights that can take your breath away. You may even be able to see the lights from the Hollywood Bowl!
Sunset Strip is a huge destination for all stars and rockers! Lined with restaurants and bars, comedy clubs and stores, there's something for everyone on Sunset. You may even want to stop by the famous Rainbow Bar & Grill and look at all the memorabilia from Guns N Roses, Led Zeppelin, and Motley Crue. While driving down Sunset you will see so many famous locations such as The Viper Room, Whiskey A Go Go, and Laugh Factory. Now if you've had enough running around but want some more action then get some tickets to see a performance at Dodger's Stadium or Staple's Stadium!
Going on vacation is a perfect way to explore different restaurants you do not have in your hometown. If you love unique restaurants then head over to Carney's, an old train car that has been transformed into a delicious restaurant serving classic hot dogs, burgers, and fries. If you're not in the mood for a burger then you can head over to a local favorite, Canter's Deli. Canter's is part deli with a bakery making up the rest. Serving up monster deli sandwiches and small, delicate pastries, Canter's will be sure to fill your savory and sweet tooth. Although there are so many amazing restaurants in downtown Los Angeles, one that you will have to try while you're in town is House of Pies. Filled with dozens of pies, sold by the slice or whole pie, with as many flavors as you can imagine. You'll leave feeling full and happy!
