The 57th AVP Manhattan Beach Tournament is coming back home to Manhattan Beach, the birthplace of beach volleyball. This year marks the world-renowned event as the "longest running, continuous tournament in the sport of beach volleyball".

The celebration begins with the Volleyball Walk of Fame Red Carpet Ceremony at the Manhattan Beach Pier Thursday, July 14, 2016 at 3:00 PM to honor last year’s men’s and women’s champions, April Ross, Jen Fopma, Phil Dalhausser, and Nick Lucena.

The tournament begins with the Qualification Tournament on July 14, followed by Main Draw Tournaments the next three days. Opening Rounds take place on July 15, Elimination Rounds are on July 16, and the tournament wraps up with Final Rounds on July 17.

In addition to the tournaments, you can enjoy a full festival village, MBO Legend’s match, kid’s clinic, athlete signings, movie night, interactive games, and the annual MBO Walk of Fame Pier Ceremony. The Manhattan Beach Open will also offer "an elevated experience" in its premiere VIP Skybox for the first time in the history of the tournament.

Some of the greatest male and female world-class athletes will be competing this year, including Olympic Silver Medalist Jen Kessy, 15-time AVP Tournament winner; Phil Dalhausser, Olympic Gold Medalist, 47-time AVP Tournament winner and 2015 Best Blocker on AVP Tour; Olympic Gold Medalist Todd Rogers, 52-time AVP Tournament winner; April Ross, Olympic Silver Medalist and 24-time AVP Tournament winner; and Jake Gibb, 2014 AVP Tour Most Valuable Player and 23-time AVP Tournament winner.

Volleyball and sports enthusiasts will want to be here for all four days of the tournament while enjoying all the other festivities as well! For more information on the tournament, click here.
